ii un pik lung  The question is not "how did the dinosaurs go extinct" but "did the dinosaurs go extinct?" AFTER THE FLOOD Dinosaurs were faced with a hostile world, the canopy was gone and the climate changed. Man began to hunt them for food and because they were becoming a menace. The word "dinosaur" was invented by Sir Richard Owen in 1841. Before that time they were known as dragons. 600 B.C. The walls of the old city of Babylon (rebuilt in recent times under Saddem Hussein) had hundreds of pictures of dragons on them 300 A.D. The men of Alexander the Great were scared to death by dragons. 200 A.D. Roman mosaics showed two long-necked dragons fighting. 1000 A.D. The Viking's ships had dragon heads on them. 1572 A.D. An Italian peasant killed a dragon bothering his cows. A scientist documented it. 400-500 YEARS AGO The definition of "dragon" in dictionaries from 400-500 years ago stated that "they are extremely rare though still living today." The town of Nerloc, France is named for a man who slew a dragon which was said to be "bigger than an ox and had long sharp horns on its head." There are pictures of dinosaurs carved on the walls of the Grand Canyon. IN CAVES IN AFRICA There are paintings of long-necked dinosaurs chasing natives. IN 1962 Discovered in Ica, Peru were 50,000 stones of all sizes with carvings of dinosaurs on them. Dr. Cabrera who discovered these stones said, "There is no question man and dinosaurs lived together." In Norway and Greenland During the great age of sailing ships there are thousands of sightings of sea monsters. IN 1848 A 60 foot long sea monster was reported and the people were laughed at. There are reports of giant octopi pulling ships. In 1896 In St. Augustine, Florida, at 200 foot across, a 5 ton sea monster was reported. IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON A 150 foot long arm from an octopus was found in a whale's stomach. DINOSAURS IN THE BIBLE Job 40:15-19 Behemoth - long-necked dinosaur (There are 13 varieties) Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron. He is the chief of the ways of God... (NOTE) Verse 16 His strength is in his belly. Verse 17 He has a tail like a cedar (front legs 20 feet tall). Verse 18 He has bones like iron bars. IN ALBERTA, CANADA The remains found of a 150 foot dinosaur, probably a brachiosaurus, weighing approximately 100 tons. (This would be the weight of 14 buses piled on top of each other.) Job 40:19 Chief (biggest) of the animals. He is the chief of the ways of God. Dinosaurs represented the awesome power of God. Verse 21 He lived in swamps. He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens. THE BIGGEST SWAMP In Africa, the Likouala Swamp is 55,000 square miles and dinosaurs still live there today. THE DEVIL Could not fool Adam or Noah, because they lived with the dinosaurs. 1,000 years ago dinosaurs were rare, but people still believed in them. 100 years ago evolution and pre-historic animals were introduced. Because there were billions of people who never saw one they did not believe in them. There have been 20,000 reported sightings of dinosaurs in this century. Loch Ness; Lake Champlain; Mokele-Mbembe; etc. IN 1962 In Pensacola Harbor, 4 boys died, one was drowned, 3 were eaten by a sea monster. The fifth survived but turned to drink and drugs to erase the memory of it because it was so horrible. THE 1800'S Explorers in the Congo saw dinosaurs. FEBRUARY 13, 1910 The New York Herald ran a story, "Is Brontosaurus Roaming Africa's Wilds?" IN JANUARY 1948 The Saturday Evening Post said, "There Could be Dinosaurs" IN 1980, Dr. Roy Mackle from the University of Chicago said the Congo is the most miserable place on the face of the earth to live, 1,000 mosquitoes per hour attack you, it has 95 degree temperatures constantly with 95 percent humidity. IN 1983-1984 A 50 foot crocodile was reported but nobody would believe it. Mokele-Mbembe (a dinosaur) lives in the swamps in the Congo, He has a 20 foot span from head to tail. He lives under water in caves and eats the Malombo plant. He has claws on his feet. IN 1959 A 42-year veteran missionary of the Congo, Eugene Thomas, had 2 men in his church who killed one. IN 1907 In the Amazon jungle, Col. Percy Fawcett, a meticulous recorder of facts, saw a Diplodocus. At the same place was a 62 foot anaconda snake. AUGUST 20, 1997 In Peru a 130 foot boa left a trail wide enough to drive a car through. LOCH NESS Is 24 miles long, 1 mile wide and 1,000 feet deep. It is capable of holding every person in the world. IN 1933 There were 52 sighting of the Loch Ness monster. Today there have been over 11,000 sightings. Sir Peter Scott, a member of Parliament also saw it. IN 1977 A Japanese fishing boat brought up a dead plesiosaur. The Japanese government even made a postage stamp commemorating the event. OCTOBER 1994 In Russia, in Mystery Lake, a 39 foot long carcass washed up on shore. SIGHTINGS OF MONSTERS OR DINOSAURS Have been reported in the United States, Sweden, Canada, Russia, Scotland, England, Vietnam, Africa, Venezuela and Indonesia. IN AFRICA A pterodactyl with a 4 foot wingspan called by natives Kongomato. IN ARIZONA Two cowboys shot a pterodactyl
